Got a text from my daughter, “I’m at the gym!” her text inspired me to get moving too and so I decided since the sun was about to set with a rainy night ahead, I would walk the beach.
If I hadn’t been picking up trash and looking for sharks’ teeth on the beach in the rain I may have missed it. The sun had just set and the sky was getting dark. I looked out in front of me and saw little dark figures moving around. Taking a closer look, I realized these were baby sea turtles making their way to the ocean!
Truly invigorating and inspiring to watch as they swayed from side to side paddling on sand with clarity and focus. Through mounds of seaweed they pushed forward. With a swift movement of wave on shore the ocean welcomed them in. The water seemed warmer than it typically is at night. My heart couldn’t help but leap with the thrill of new life as I watched these baby sea turtles intuitively push forward. A feeling of excitement in the air. Just me and these newly hatched babies on a rainy beach, their first day of life. So thankful for this experience.
According to google it’s estimated that only 1 in 1,000 hatchlings will survive to adulthood. Wishing these babies much love and success on their journey. May they lead happy lives.
My hope for this blog post is that it continues to inspire you to dream, to grow and to create in fabulously authentic ways. May we all deepen our sense of creativity, self-love, clarity, fulfillment, gratitude and joy in our lives as we make living in the present moment our primary focus.
