I combine my love of fine art with my eye for storytelling to capture the beauty and wonder of your experience so that you can enjoy and share your soulful story for generations to come.

hi, i'm Judith Rae

Happiness is a Choice! A few years back, I read The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor and thought I’d take a moment to revisit it today as I needed a refresher course haha!

Did you know that happiness fuels success, not the other way around?!

When we’re positive, our brains become more engaged, creative, motivated, energetic, resilient, and productive.

90% of your long term happiness is predicted, not by our external world, but by how our brains process the world!

Here are a few quick ways to help your brain choose happiness and create lasting positive change in your daily life: (test it out for 21 days, see if you notice any improvements. Please reach out and tell me if you found this helpful.)

• 3 Gratitudes: list out 3 things each day that you are thankful for.

• Journaling:  journaling about a positive experience will help you seek out more positive experiences.

•Exercise and movement: helps get your blood flowing and your brain releases fun chemicals like serotonin, endorphins and dopamine.

•Meditation: meditation reduces stress, increases resilience in hard times, produces a deep state of peace /wellbeing, increases happiness/optimism, helps create loving relationships and increases life satisfaction.

•Random Acts of Kindness.

Achor writes that this discovery has been repeatedly supported by research in psychology and neuroscience, management studies, and the bottom lines of organizations around the world.

When you put your happiness first, studies show, you are more likely to have a better secure job, better at keeping your job, superior productivity, more resilient, less burnout, less turnover and greater sales!

As synchronicity would have it, my meditation today also spoke on gratitude and making a list of what you’re thankful for. I included some of the key messages below.

Deepak Chopra: Creating Abundance, Living Gracefully

Centering Thought: Today I remember to be grateful.

Sanskrit Mantra: Om Vardhanam Namah – I nourish the universe, and the universe nourishes me.

Mindful Moment:

Cultivate gratitude.

Make a list today of the many things in your life that you appreciate. Review your list and offer thanks for all you’ve included. Practice this routine often. Taking stock of your life’s many gifts and expressing gratitude will clear the way for even greater abundance to flow into your life.

In today’s meditation, we will discover how gratitude for everyone and everything in our lives will help us draw more abundance to us.

In the words of Elie Wiesel, “For me, every hour is grace. And I feel gratitude in my heart every time I can meet someone and look at his or her smile.”

By being grateful for all that you have and expressing that appreciation in your daily life, you open a channel through which abundance can freely flow.

Our hope for this blog post is that it continues to inspire you to dream, to grow and to create in fabulously authentic ways. May we all deepen our sense of creativity, cultivate change, fulfillment and joy in our lives and take time to acknowledge all that we have to be thankful for!

As always, we truly appreciate your friendship, your continued support and generous referrals.
