One flame ignites another.

As Debra Laws wrote and sang, “Love and life and life is loving, it’s very special”. I hope you sang that out loud like I’ve been doing! It’s a great reminder. No matter what’s happening in our lives or around us, we have the ability to find what to be thankful for and tap into inner joy. I say this because I find myself to be way more productive and creative when I’m tapped into joy and appreciation. I also know that I attract great opportunities when I’m shining bright. 

So, I made a change last week. I tried something I haven’t done in a long time. My friend Amen and I walked the beach together as the sun peaked through the water-lined horizon. We shared, we laughed, we jumped into the ocean and like dolphins we dove into the waves. Our walk was about an hour long and it shifted my week for the better. It fanned my flame! One heartfelt yes ignited another. Then my heart said yes to a 30-minute belly dancing class with a bestie and one of my favorite belly dancers. I feel alive! I feel empowered, I’m ready and I’m showing up.

There is power in self- care. There is joy in movement and creativity. Excitement in trying something new. When I moved to Florida 5 years ago my intention was to give myself space and time to explore. I felt a desire to be near the ocean in a warm sunny place that reminded me of Brazil. I envisioned more space and time to expand on my creativity. More room for self-care. This is the life I live and the life I love. 

Self-care means the world to me. As we heal and care for ourselves, I believe, we inspire others to do the same. Raising our vibration. Living illuminated lives. Creating from our most sacred place. When the heart and mind connect.
