hi, i'm Judith Rae

Time to recharge feels necessary.

Together we paddled to a nearby island. I laid on the board soaking in the sunshine as Alex paddled above me calling out the sea creatures he spotted. “Babe, you see that sea turtle, WOW look another one!” Sun shining and water splashing. In my element, in a “being” state of mind. Relaxing, present, breathing and laughing together. Taking in the beauty, ease and wonder of these moments. A sting ray swam past as we reached land. Taking our time to notice life happening around us.

What I haven’t told you was the feeling of anxiety flowing through my body. This feeling is what brought me to the ocean seeking its flow. A deep desire to be in nature. As I swam with Alex by my side feeling so thankful for this time to play together. Big questions within began to surface. Why am I here? Why does this feel so challenging? What if I’m no longer here?

I swam and felt my body, I looked into the eyes of the fish as they passed. I noticed the outline of a big flounder hiding under a blanket of sand amongst the seashells on the ocean floor. With excitement I pointed it out for Alex to see.

Ease began to engulf me. I felt this clear knowing. Together we swam and I heard a reply. I am here to share love, I am here to bring joy, I am here to hold space and to be a light. I am one of many raising the vibration, imagining something incredible, holding on to love. Releasing what no longer serves. As I heal the world heals.

Thoughts on caring for your emotions, below:

  • Epsom salt bath add a candle – lights low – instrumental music and soak in all the goodness.
  • Miles Davis, John Coltrane .. this is who I play for holding space.
  • Light a candle >> ask for guidance.
  • Diffuse some oils. My go to’s are peppermint, cedarwood, lavender, copaiba.
  • Tea to soothe the soul.
  • Take a nap.
  • Wrap yourself up in a cozy blanket and write out what’s on your heart.
  • Tune into your fav sleep meditation (yoga nidra) find a quiet spot and listen.
  • Take a break. Find a comfy spot where you can lay down for 5-10 minutes. Set a timer. With your hand on your heart – close your eyes – bring your attention to your heart – listen in – breathe – journal.
  • Journal / water color / sketch.
  • Box breathing – inhale to the count of four – hold count of four – exhale to the count of four – hold for count of four. Repeat.
  • Time in nature – set up a blanket or a hammock in a spot outdoors. Bring a journal / sketch pad and write/draw what you find.
  • Lay in a hammock and gaze at the sky.
  • Get up and dance to your favorite song! Move your hips and shoulders and rock that body.
  • Calm – magnesium supplement
  • Drink a freshly made juice. Here are two of my favorite recipes. Top favorite is this green goddess and I also love this heart healing tonic.
  • Melt with the melt method. My big sis put me on to this and I’m so happy she did as it’s saved my life! With the MELT Method, therapist Sue Hitzmann shares breakthrough self-treatment to help eliminate chronic pain and erase the effects of aging and active living— I spend less than an hour on this each day or a few times a week.

My hope for this blog post is that it continues to inspire you to dream, to grow and to create in fabulously authentic ways.
