The holidays are here and I love the feeling of cooler weather, time with loved ones, inspiring shoots and delicious foods.
Pie has been on our minds and so I whipped up a pumpkin pie shake for Alex and I this AM that was so satisfying I had to share.
For me it’s all about taking care of my gut, (while also satisfying my tastebuds) when my stomach is happy I’m happy! Recipe below.
Spice It Up :: Pumpkin Pie Shake: (2 servings) Best to buy organic ingredients.
1 inch of fresh ginger
5-7 Dates
2 cups of water (as needed)
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice blend
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon black pepper
4 almonds
3 tablespoons oats
1 tablespoon of cacao
2 tablespoons of pumpkin pureé
1 ½ Banana (frozen)
2 handfuls of Kale leaves (frozen)
1/4 cup frozen berries
6 ice cubes (I love frozen smoothies)
